The difference between made to measure joinery, fitting some joinery into position that has been made to fit as best as possible, but is free standing vs the made to measure joinery that has the fitted look. Joinery that has been made to measure and as a finishing touch looks fitted also and has no gaps, and is not free standing, it may also fit floor to ceiling and it looks great!
